Dr. Srivastava and GIOSTAR Co-Founder Mr. Deven Patel are poised to deliver great advancements to the impoverished masses of India, and those suffering from sickle cell anemia. In partnership with Indian Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi and the Government of India, the team announced a $2 Billion Stem Cell Therapy program in 2012.
This partnership has given rise to numerous impressive achievements, including the 2012 inauguration of the world’s first and largest dedicated stem cell treatment hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat State, India. “I was excited; yes, let’s do it!,” said Mr. Patel. “Now we are talking about taking this to the masses. We are taking the most advanced science to the most downtrodden people on earth.”
Deven Patel, CEO of GIOSTAR, discusses the basics on stem cells during an interview with the The Silver Hair Tsunami TV show. “Stem cells are the master cell of the body and from there, the entire body is created. Their job is to repair or regenerate anything that degenerates in our body. So, if your liver function is going down or your heart function is going down, stem cells are there in the body and it is their job to regenerate. That is why it is called regenerative medicine,” said Deven Patel.

“Our journey started at a very spiritual juncture. It started in 2001, but GIOSTAR was formed in 2008. Dr. Anand Srivastava and I met at the temple. Dr. Srivastava told me one day at the temple, ‘Deven, I am working on this science which is very new, very unknown. I don’t know where it will go, but I am getting these vibrations here that I should talk to you. I would call it a divine intervention in its literal sense.’ Our journey together started from there,” said Deven Patel.
