Shelly Sood is the founding partner at GIOSTAR Chicago in Glenview, Illinois. She received her BA in political science from the University of Rochester in New York and her MS in information systems from DePaul University in Chicago.
Ms. Sood has 15 years of experience in leadership roles across multiples fields, including marketing, operations, and entrepreneurship. She has served as a crucial point of reference for clients working in the manufacturing, technology, law, pharmaceutical, and education industries.
It’s her dedication to long-term success, as well as her conscientious eye for a results-driven approach to business, that has allowed Ms. Sood to thrive in all her projects.
Ms. Sood’s recent career transition to healthcare provided for greater alignment between her compassionate nature and her academic and professional background. She had an epiphany after several life-altering personal experiences, culminating in the realization of her personal mission in life: achieving happiness by helping others combat the most devastating, debilitating illnesses known to man. Ms. Sood soon discovered that the fulfillment gained from diminishing the pain of others is like nothing else.
In January 2017, Ms. Sood helped launch the regenerative cell therapy center in Chandigarh, India, and has since played an integral role in developing the center’s internal planning, strategy, and management.
Ms. Sood’s current role at GIOSTAR Chicago is to facilitate key initiatives to ensure successful patient care, guide and train the current staff to align with the company’s vision and goals, and oversee the center’s operational and strategic processes, thereby taking the center to the next level.

Dr. Rama Sood, MD, is the medical director of GIOSTAR Chicago in Glenview, Illinois. Before joining the team at GIOSTAR, Dr. Sood led a successful pediatric career in Toledo, Ohio, for over 30 years.
As a certified diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Sood served as the chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics at the Flower Hospital in Toledo for over 25 years and quickly received national recognition for her compassionate and effective approach to medicine.
In addition to founding and managing her private pediatric practice in Toledo, Dr. Sood has also been an educator, training countless medical students and residents in pediatrics. Both of her professional endeavors have provided her with strong and global media representation, including interviews in local newspapers and on television.
Honing in on her expertise as both a practitioner and educator, Dr. Sood helped launch Stem Cell Centre, a regenerative cell therapy center in Chandigarh, India. In her role as medical director at GIOSTAR Chicago, Dr. Sood oversees operations and key strategic initiatives.
Michael Gellis MD, a board certified plastic surgeon, was the Chief Medical Officer of Sono Bello Clinics for 7 years. He has traveled throughout the United States training doctors didactically and in the operating room in the art of Awake Tumescent Liposuction and Body Contouring. Dr. Gellis has written many articles related to liposuction, and has presented numerous papers at many seminars in the United States and abroad. In addition, Dr. Gellis has several years of experience in administering intra-articular joint injections to patients.
Previously Dr. Gellis was the Chairman of Plastic Surgery at the William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan, where he trained residents in plastic and reconstructive surgery. During that time, he was Associate Professor of Surgery at Wayne State University. Dr. Gellis is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Bianca Kelly is a Medical Assistant and Office Manager at GIOSTAR Chicago. Ms. Kelly completed her education in patient care and clinical studies at Billing And Doctors Assisting (BD&A) School, where she earned a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) license through the National Healthcare Association (NHA). She also received Phlebotomy and EKG Technician training.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Kelly gained several years of experience in Healthcare, specializing in customer and patient relations. Most recently, she served as a caregiver for patients suffering from dementia.
