About Our Guest

Dr. Maks is a physician and Regional Medical Director with AMITA Health Medical Group (AHMG), specializing in internal medicine and geriatrics. In addition to providing oversight of physician performance and engagement within the Chicago Metro region, he directs the goals, initiatives and strategies of the medical group.

Prior to this role, Dr. Maks served as the interim Chief Medical Officer for the Legacy Presence Medical Group and chaired the legacy group’s Board. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Maks completed both his internship and residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, and completed his geriatrics fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. He completed his undergraduate studies in Psychology at Northwestern University, graduating with honors.

Dr. Maks enjoys strength training, cooking, and taking advantage of all of the cultural experiences the Windy City has to offer with his wife and four teenaged children. Some say it’s not possible, but he strongly believes that one can enjoy life as both a Cubs fan and a Sox fanatic.
